GM OM,
Would you advertise this Facebook page, Firefighters
and Amateur
Radio Operators? It restricted to amateur radio operators that are
firefighters and/or EMT/Paramedics. The purpose of the page is to foster a
tighter bond between the worldwide fire service and amateur radio. I hope
that by increasing the awareness between the two, we might be able to have a
ham shack in every fire brigade/ firehouse in the world as a dependable
backup for the dispatch radios. The FCC has allowed emergency first
responders to use the amateur frequencies as a secondary means of
communications but only if they are first licensed amateur radio operators.
