144 MHz SPORADIC E Summaries 2008 - http://www.mmmonvhf.de/es.php

As you already have seen the VHF-DX-Portal MMMonVHF started to work
out the first 144 MHz Sporadic E Openings of the year.
Up to now we have had daily input of logs since 24th of May!
Today some short info and hints about the progress and future:
These Summaries follow-up the ufb work on the pages of Udo, DK5YA and
Steffen, DM2SR. It is a real SUMMARY and NOT a REAL TIME Program.
In the case you want to have real time info about the MUF we recommend
the DX Sherlock by Gabriel, EA6VQ (www.vhfdx.net) or LiveMuf by Dave,
G7RAU (www.g7rau.demon.co.uk/).

MMMonVHF will only collect the LOGs over the day and put it together to
an overview later the day (so NO need to send the LOG twice - its NOT
shown earlier ;-) ). In case of small openings we are able to provide
as well typical QSOs from the DXC to our MAP - BUT we have seen that a
lot of “rubbish” QSOs and SPOTS are via DXC.
The basis for MMMonVHF-Maps are the Log-inputs from YOU! So if YOU work
any 144 MHz Sporadic E QSO please be so kind and send us your log online:
LOGIN at MMMonVHF, go to the Sporadic E page (www.mmmonvhf.de/es.php)
and click “Send your Report”. We only be able to accept registered Users
to avoid Spam and Mal-Spots…

A Poll at our ES Section initiated by Allard, PE1NWL (DX-Robot) and MMM
“How did you discover this ES opening this time?”
If you pass your ES-Log to MMMonVHF please have a short look at the lower
end of the page - you might mark how you did discover this Sporadic E
opening at these day! After the Sporadic E Saison we will spread the
rsults and maybe try to make some more tools around these stuff…

Is to aisku kad i debeseli esanti 500-700km atstumu antena reikia “uzverst” kokius 20 laipsniu i virsu, o tai jau iseina is dideles antenos pagrindinio lapelio, jeigu ji sukiojasi tik horizantaliai. Todel trumpesne antena su 30-40 laipsniu priekiniu lapeliu tokiems QSO tinka geriau. Tuo labiau kad sitie artimieji ES pasitaiko dazniau, buna labai galingi ir didelio antenos stiprinimo nereikalauja.
O KAIP SU 2400KM ?
Tokie Es QSO nedomina?

Pilna stoi i Europos, imtas kitas QSO. O kolega Romas, LY3ED, ex RP2PED, girdi ir daro vos vien kit QSO. Pasirodo pas j buvo stekas i 4 anten. Tam reikalui jau remontuoju savo sen ger patikim DL6WU, 3,6 metro ilgio anten.

Del bendru UTB varzybu su Estais

Labas, Ryti,
a pavluotai, bet gal bus naudinga…
Apie 1972-1975 metus a buvau kartas bendr UP-UQ-UR varyb alininkas, nes mums visiems labai patiko neseniai trumpose bangose prasidj SB testai, o bandymas “atkalti estus” bt buvs geras stimulas pakelti UTB lyg. UTB mae su lenkais gaudavom be provaisi…
Nugaltojas nustatomas pagal vis tur tak sum - ia galimos derybos - jei pasirodyt ess koks nors tak “disbalansas”.

Visa E- Sporadinio esme - “debeselio” vieta. Vakar jis stabiliai kabejo mazdaug virs Gardino, ir nieko nepadarysi: visi plieke QSO virs musu galvu. Sekmadieni Es debeselio vieta leido man padaryti puiku QSO su TA2ZAF is Ankaros. Butu buve daug QSO, bet ten nebuvo daugiau korespondentu. Beje, labai daznai musyse buna praejimai, kai atspindys krenta i Vidurzemio arba Juodaja jura arba i Siaurine Afrika.

:-) Gal reikejo keisti antenu elevacija? Tikiuosi artimiausiu metu Es atsliaus ir iki musu. Papasakokite jei kam pavyko vakar QSO per Es 144MHz.

Special information about DXCC Card Checking in Friedrichshafen, Germany:
————————————————————————-
DXCC card checking will be done at Ham Radio Friedrichshafen. Card checking
will occur during all hours of operation Friday, Saturday and Sunday
June 27 through 29.

Many HAMs travel from around the world and this is a busy event for card
checking. Please remember these tips that will help you and the card
checkers through the process, avoid delays and allow us to serve everyone:

1. Preparation:
—————
Visit http://www.arrl.org/awards/dxcc/faq/ for complete information on the
Application Process and for information on filling out the form:
- THERE IS A 120 CARD LIMIT PER APPLICANT
- Make sure that your cards are in proper order. Band first, then mode.
Cards with multiple QSOs at the end
- The order on the record sheet MUST match the order of the cards
- The latest forms are on the DXCC website: http://www.arrl.org/awards/dxcc
- Have all paperwork completed before you come to the table
- Make sure everything is legible
- List only QSOs you want credit for

If you plan to do a Hybrid application (paper application with Logbook of
The World) you must do the LoTW portion prior to leaving for Friedrichshafen

2. When you arrive at the ARRL booth in Friedrichshafen:
——————————————————–
- Check in with the next available card checker
- The checker will take your application and issue you a numbered receipt
- Advise the checker of anything important to the card checker BEFORE they
start
- You do not have to wait while your application is checked

3. When you return to claim your cards:
—————————————
- Present the numbered receipt to the card checker to claim your cards
- The card checker will return your cards to you
- DXCC will not take cards back to ARRL with them, you must claim them
- The card checker will advise you of the final fees
- Payment is due upon completion of your application

4. Payment methods:
——————-
- Credit Card (preferred)
- Cash        (USD or Euro only)
- Check       (from USA bank only)
- Money Order (US and international OK)
- DXCC cannot bill you
- Please see rule 15 for the latest fee information

If possible, please bring with you a copy of your last credit slip.

Special information about the LogBook of The World registration:
—————————————————————-
If you would like to apply for a new LogBook of The World certificate,
bring a copy of your home call license and a picture ID. If you wish to
create an LoTW account for a DXpedition or a club callsign, you must bring
proper documentation (eg: License and proof that you were at the DXpedition
location or a copy of the club license). The ARRL representative will
immediately issue you a password to get started.
